Why Loki Won In The Avengers

Spoiler alert: If you haven’t seen The Avengers Assemble, don’t read this post or the linked post!

Over at The Mask of Reason, Andrew Black has a brilliant post entitled: “Very Good Writing – Why Loki Won in The Avengers“.

He blogs about the genius of Joss Whedon‘s writing, and how he believes that Loki, the main antagonist in The Avengers Assemble, actually ended up the winner in the film (in what is known as Xanatos Gambit), rather than the good superheroes of The Avengers. Andrew Black makes a very convincing argument, detailing Joss Whedon’s writing of Loki’s character, and the cunningness of Loki himself.

His theorycrafting is brilliant, and well worth a read. But only if you’ve already seen The Avengers Assemble! Which you should, because it’s awesome. Onwards!
