Commander Chris Hadfield To Retire

CSA Astronaut Chris Hadfield announced his impending retirement during his first visit to CSA headquarters since his return from five-months aboard the International Space Station. Hadfield reflected on his career and gave sincere thanks to his colleagues and friends. He will officially retire on July 3, 2013 after a distinguished 35 years in government service. As you may have realised, I think Commander Chris Hadfield is a bit of a legend. From his multitude of science experiments aboard the ISS, to his phenomenal photographs of Earth, to his great music, Chris Hadfield is amazing.

I hope he has a wonderful retirement, and gets to spend more time with his family and friends. You’ve touched the whole world, and we’re listening. Onwards!
