Tim Webber, Visual Effects, And Gravity

Over at Nature, they have an interesting interview with Tim Webber, the mastermind behind the visual effects of Gravity. At last night’s Academy Awards, Gravity came home with seven awards: Best Director, Best Cinematographer, Best Editing, Sound Mixing, Sound Editing, Original Score, and, of course, Best Visual Effects. All are thoroughly deserved, especially the visual effects. When you see the amount of work that went into creating Gravity, creating CG weightlessness, it’s mindblowing. The above video is just a small snippet of what the visual effects team had to accomplish.

Really must get round to watching this superb film again. Onwards!
