“Check out Watch Dogs’ groundbreaking multiplayer modes where everything and everyone is connected. Learn how Watch Dogs is blurring the line between single and multiplayer, and get a glimpse into three distinct and exciting modes including Online Hacking Contracts, ctOS Mobile Companion App, and Competitive Decryption Combat.” (YouTube)
This is a pretty cool walkthrough detailing the multiplayer aspect of Watch Dogs. For the Online Hacking Contracts, I like the fact they explain it from both perspectives. It looks very exciting, and I’m intrigued as to how many people can hack into another person’s game. Is it a 1v1 situation? Or can multiple people hack into a single person’s game? Is the ctOS mobile companion app a tablet app only, or can it be used on phones? The final multiplayer mode, Competitive Decryption Combat, looks much more like a general team-based multiplayer mode, sort of like capture the flag. The hackable scenery, combined with shooting and cars, all look awesome. I also really like the fact that it looks seamless to enter and exit multiplayer whenever you want.
Everything is connected. Onwards!
