Dragon Age: Inquisition

Bioware released several new trailers and gameplay demos of the latest game in the Dragon Age series – Dragon Age: Inquisition. Above is their introductory trailer to DA: Inquisition, titled “Lead Them or Fall“. It sets the backstory of the game, and shows quite a lot of actual gameplay as well. Below is another trailer – Stand Together – detailing the different characters you adventure with: Blackwall, Sera, the Iron Bull, and Vivienne.

It falls to you and your party of legendary heroes to restore order as you lead the Inquisition. Bonds will form – and some will break – as the campaign for truth takes its toll.” (YouTube)

Alongside these two official trailers, several stage show demos emerged from E3. Below is the one from GameSpot. In it, they talk about how DA: Inquisition is the DA game Bioware wanted to make, and takes ideas from both Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2. The whole game looks beautiful, and appears to be vast as well. The gameplay looks like a combination of the fast paced DA2 combat alongside the tactical, top down combat of DA:O, with you able to choose which combat style you want to play with. The large creatures like dragons also have different areas you can hit, like the legs or head. Like several Bioware games, romance between the characters is a big deal, and Mark Darrah, the executive producer of DA:I, says that this is still very much a part of the game. The combat looks fun and varied, and being a Bioware game, I’m sure the story will be epic. It will also be possible to import saved games from DA2 or DA:O, for those that have played them.

I’m rather excited for this game, and it’s being released pretty soon as well. Onwards!
