Time Trap (Short Film)

Time Trap is a clever and funny little film by Michael Shanks, about a spaceman who becomes stranded in space, but not in time. After his ship develops a fault and he’s forced to land on a desolate planet, the spaceman uses a brilliant piece of kit called a Time Trap. This allows him to create bubbles in space at different time points, into which he can go and interact with people there. It’s an ingenious idea.

I really like how, despite not talking at all, the spaceman’s emotions (annoyance, confusion, happiness) are all clearly conveyed. The special effects are very cool, and it’s overall just really neatly put together. Well worth a watch. Onwards!
