How Many Trees Are There In The World?

It’s a simple question: how many trees are there on Earth? The answer required 421,529 measurements from fifty countries on six continents. Now this new data has been combined to produce a stunning visualisation of our planet as you’ve never seen it before.” (YouTube)

3,040,000,000,000 trees. That’s how many. 3.04 trillion. This visualisation by Nature is very cool, and shows the density and location of trees in the world. Although obvious, it’s still strange seeing the empty spots on the Earth, such as the Sahara Desert and the majority of Australia. Despite there being more trees than we initially predicted, we are losing millions each year, and more must be done to protect our environment. Onwards.
